MICROSOCCER
The Sanibel MicroSoccer program introduces preschoolers and kindergarten-age kids to the sport. Four- and five-year-olds play on a special small field without goalies, and without keeping score during games.

In practices, they learn the basics of soccer through playground-style games. In Topple the Coconut, they develop shooting skills by kicking one ball hard and straight enough so it knocks another ball off a cone. In Fox and Hens, children knock each other's balls out of a large circle. In Indiana Jones, three kids try to have their balls hit others who are running a gauntlet.

The U6 division concludes the season with a special Soccer Olympics, a series of 10-minute games capped off with a goodie bag and a trophy.
